Bombyle Grey Fleur De Lin

Author 'Nicole.barberon' (Id 62787 ) : The bombyles are small insects covered with hair lint the body short and thick. Like the hummingbirds, they are standing still droning in front of the flowers, not easy to photograph, however, I managed to make some shots and I present to you a small bombyle grey on a flower of flax.

This bug is straight out of a cartoon, with her big eyes and his incredible random. It is a delight to see them work on a mass of flowers. True, at first, one would think a hummingbird. I shot a few times with a digital high definition and then zooming in, I saw this strange coil. There was just looking on the web, what it was. A real treasure hunt.

I was curious to know what this little insect with the pump if nectar developed. I live in Alsace and this is the first time I see this little animal and as early (10 April 2009 14:25).

Nicole I love your pictures in general and this one is no exception. This is the 1st time I see a bombyle. Otherwise I think exactly like Lumixane, great delicacy, beauty and poetry in this picture I gazed with evident pleasure. Thank you

Like, a moth at rest... I am definitely a low for your bombyx, Nicole, pretty, kitten willow silver 'decorated'. The flower of flax gives the impression of being in crystal. Beauty, delicacy, fragility class

Outstanding photography, very sharp of the insect and of the flower. A beautiful marriage of colors, very bright which is a wallpaper admirable where the encounter of the two protagonists we truly delight and charm. Beautiful painting, bravo

It is very beautiful also. I love this little creature, it looks like a plush
> Harmony >Reply Jun 04, 2008
The bombyle is clear but it has a weird position. It looks like he hesitates to choose the flower !
> Cr44 [G] [P] [C] [B] >Reply Jun 04, 2008
Then this little bombyle is too beautiful ,he is perfect... I prefer it to the bee carpenter without hesitation... It is very soft, very silky indeed, and it marries beautifully with the sweetness of the flower... Bravo Nicole.
