Chives and Butterfly gentleness and violence

Author 'Gilbair' (Id 221927 ) : In offering this picture, which is not ' manipulated ', I hesitated a lot. I would have been able to expose the Vulcan on a neutral background, but the unusual composition I was captivated by his side ' provocative '. This butterfly is brightly coloured, almost 'brutal' came to gather nectar in the flowers of chives a delicate pink, and the stems green blade composed of an unusual array which may please or displease, and if the photo is accepted, I await with interest the comments !
Photo slightly cropped with no other editing.

I find that the softer tones of the flowers and the greenery are the butterfly value. Good framing.

I am glad that you share my idea as to the contrast between the softness of the flowers and their stems and the colors quite vibrantly to the butterfly. Thank you very much.

I am glad that you share my appreciation between the softness of the flowers and their stems and the colouring lively enough of the paillon, which is thus better expressed. Thank you.

I think you did well to present this shot, the decor is superb and the neutral funds are not so original. A beautiful image.

I was waiting for comments and I am glad to see that my waiting is filled, in particular because it seems to approve. Thank you !

I agree with Weld regarding the situation of the butterfly, a little too much on the left, but I really like the bottom of chives for the color contrast and the natural environment.

Nice photo with it's true a good opposition of colors between the subject and its background that gives priority to the butterfly, I like, bravo. (TB). I think the topic is a bit too tight on the left edge.

It is clear that there has been no retouching on this shot, I respect this choice, you offered us so a very smooth looking image with the sharpness in the foreground, which allows us to admire a 'Little Turtle' or 'English Urticae' (the female lays eggs on the stinging nettle which in turn serves as food to the caterpillars) on a nice background of chives. This is that one can give a kick of contrast on this image to make the image more dynamic, but on the other hand the photographer may prefer to keep the softness...

A first reaction, and it makes me happy. But why not go further ? You think of a touch up ? Go for it ! I can see something other than what I think I see myself in this shot ! And thank you in advance...

Ok I post a small touch of this little turtle to English urticae.
