Storm on St Nazaire shipyard

Author 'Labrume' (Id 221356 ) : We are here at the shipyard of St Nazaire.
You can see one of the famous ships (Mistral) for the russians, but the latest news would leave to go to Egypt...
If I took this photo, it's because it's an amazing contrast 'light and shadow'
I had in front of me, an extremely dark sky behind it was blue and very sunny, which gave the landscape a glow.

The contrast of colors is impressive and the exceptional light in this sky angry. The flight of the sea birds bring life to your photo. I like it a lot.

You had to take the picture with the sunset behind you, you see the night climb up in the background. Amazing this light, also on the birds !

But you can also make interesting topics, even if they are sinister, as you say. My time in a shipyard, this is where you work hard, it can't be romantic. But your photo is really interesting, with all the gulls, I think, are these birds in the light of the sun. With the red, yellow and gray, cranes etc, It's still not bad. Kisses, France !

Thank you for your comment Alle,
Yes, you're completely right, the photo was taken in the late afternoon and I had the sun behind me. You know without this beautiful light, the place is pretty grim.

Decidedly, the storms that rise from the atlantic are always so impressive !
Subject not easy but well put in value in spite of everything !

Thank you Sophie for your comment.
You can tell, the topic was not easy, because the place is really very ugly. Fortunately I have been assisted by the external elements : the storm, the flight of birds, bright contrast...

> Nicoledesplat [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 22, 2015
You have managed to make this place, a place that is rather ominous in normal time and of which I know well, a picture very nice to look at, rich in color, alive, by these flights of gulls and other birds, which for once in this sky grey and sullen seem to illuminate miles of stars. Hats off to Labrume

Hello Nicole,
Thank you for your comment. You're right, this place is really a disaster, and not even nice at all. But with the storm, the birds and the light, the landscape then becomes a bit surreal.

> Hdeledicque [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 22, 2015
It is very amazing as photo on the thumbnail, it looks like a poster drawn. The contrast is handled really well with this sky of ink and the white and red in the foreground

Thank you for your comment Helen,
I also found the surprising result. It's a little image of 'science fiction'. I hesitated to put this photo on my gallery, but I thought it came out a little out of the ordinary.

Congratulations for this perfect balance between movement and color.

There is everything and yet we found it well. The colours and shapes are diverse, but do not harm others. It is the genius of the photographer to have apprehended all of the shooting and to have produced an image percutante, with a beautiful light. The icing on the cake : the birds on the dark sky, .

Thank you Joel for your comment,
The genius of the photographer has had a big boost of chance : light, storm, the flight of birds, bright colours... It just needed to click at the right time.

Superb image. The result of the red triangles has been performed by Felice Varini in 2007, 2009 and 2012 !!!

Hi Ed,
This was not earned, that this photo is pleasing because, with its gaudy colors and the boat of war in the background, the image can also be aggressive. But I have had good luck with the flight of a bird, and the sky storm.

It is precisely the contrast of colors that make this photo is eye-catching and even pleasant to look at !!!

> Manu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 21, 2015
We do not want to see your photo... And what a pleasant surprise I love all, the colors are vibrant and the dark sky... (TB+) Bravo France and thank you

Hello Manu,
Thank you for your comment.
The flight of birds and the brightness helped me a lot for this photo, I had the chance.

A snapshot of all beauty ! The thumbnail intrigued me also. This color of the sky and the light on the different elements make it a superb all presented in a good format thank you.

Thank you Gede for your passage. This was not won to make a good photo. As a shipyard it is very messy. But here the light and the flight of the birds have been a big Plus.

The sky at the end of the world with all these birds frightened and the arms of cranes stretched at the side of this ship war:: 11: Well done

Thank you Mady for your comment. Hey yes, here the curlew blends of the disaster. This 'foutue'war' that rumbles everywhere...

> Gélinotte [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 21, 2015
He had to make it ! The light is wonderful, it illuminates well the flight of birds, it is not obvious how to achieve a nice shot on a shipyard, (I know something about as I went along ) you have managed to draw a nice picture

You're right, not easy at all to take a beautiful photo of a shipyard, moreover, it is the only drinking I have done, (on a large amount of others)

The tile I had already been questioned and I opened them, I am amazed by this beautiful set is original in its lines and its colors, I also like a lot, bravo. (TB+) A small bent on the right.

Hello J. Michel, I thank you for your comment. I am happy that this photo pleases you, because the colors garish, and the vessel of war in the background, can also be a bit aggressive.

> Julicarm [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 21, 2015
I agree with Ghislain on the mood of your photo that catches immediately the eye...
So many heterogeneous elements side by side, down to the colors that are clashing, contrasts and impactful, it looks like a board designer...
I like it very much, VG+

Thank you Julie for your comment, You've been able to analyze this image, which makes you think of a board designer and this is the case, it also makes me think of a picture of science fiction.

> Ghislain [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 21, 2015
For my part this is an image that takes your breath away as it seems unreal. The various structures, colours, the seagulls, who pass by this weird light. All the elements combine to offer us this beautiful contrast. Congratulations

Thank you Ghislain for your comment on my picture . It is true that at that moment everything seemed a little unreal. The light was quite exceptional.
