The harvest in the storm

Author 'Labrume' (Id 226201 ) : ... and when the time comes the harvest,
I dream about these paintings of yesteryear...
It is now less romantic,
But any harvest is not it wonderful ?

Or the, it is necessary to do it quickly, before the storm. It is true that often it is like that. Beautiful picture you can almost feel the smell of the warm earth is already a little wet and the storm that is approaching.

A beautiful shot well net and proportionate in a good format The sky seems very dark, or during thunderstorms in saw ?

Thank you for your comment Derek, No, I have absolutely not touched the sky in post processing (promised, swore, spat)
Yes, the storm rumbled... and not a little... but far enough away anyway.

> Jofu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 17, 2016
A very good treatment that brings out the contrasts and highlights the essential point : the wheat field ( ?) and agricultural machines. A beautiful image, .

Thank you for your comment Joel, yes, it is wheat, the photo was taken last summer... I've not done any particular treatment, just a bit of brightness and contrast at the level of the wheat.

> Gontrand62 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply May 17, 2016

Thank you for your passage on my gallery Gontrand
The moments before a storm, or the beginning of the storm are often beautifully lit with strong contrasts.

Hello Cathy, Thank you for your comment for this photo.
Sometimes nature provides us with such a brightness that it would be really too bad not to take it.

> Gélinotte [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 16, 2016
I think everything has been said, then,... I'll just tell you a big one to be able to take a common scene of our campaigns this nice table so well illuminated

> Julicarm [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 16, 2016
Beautiful image, tones and contrasts, wonderful make you think of the succession of the seasons, spring, summer and the dark winter away...
Life motorized of our campaigns illustrating the beautiful values of our country, in short, a small wonder for me !
Technical level, the framing is top notch and the rule of thirds embeds...

Hello Julie,
Always happy to read your appreciations. Here, I've only had no merit, the light was as well, and I have not touched the heaven, which as you can see it was particularly dark.

> Mady [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 16, 2016
I love the contrast between the dark sky and the light on the wheat Quickly it is necessary to return the straw before the storm

Ha, ha, ha, you make me laugh Mady, this is not of straw but of the wheat, but if I laugh as much, that is, before to send my photo on Fei, I had sent by email to hazel Grouse (we work a lot together). I had called my picture 'the hay in a storm' and it was she who pointed out to me that it was wheat... Thank you for your comment.

I have spoken well of the light on the wheat, which is not yet cut, and this is the straw after the wheat is cut in rolls on the tractor that it is necessary to return

However, I am not a city person, but I didn't know that the straw was from the wheat... I itself less stupid this evening

Ghislain just sees... In such situations there is little in the 'lace' and it is important not to talk to peasants, farmers, operators, etc Of aesthetics when there are, as here, the electricity in the air... Even among the tight balls that are not too much there is which cannot be said through gritted teeth until the knot of the twine and having the balls... on the arm !

Ha, ha, ha, you will not lack of humor, who pretends to hide your side poet.
You know, I'm not the best in the face of the storm. It rumbled in the distance, but after my 'click' I quickly back in my car...
Thank you for your passage on my gallery.

Yes, but you would have been able to give them a helping hand or at least offer them something to cool off... Because the shirts had to 'stick to skin'... and with the spikes of the straw, and the sweat that sink like so many small spines up to dare... Aie, Aie, my pain... 'll pass good moments Labrume and the pleasure of another peasant ! (I miss it so much...) Marc.

I push the tractor so that he can go very quickly before the sky get their paws on. The composition and the colors are gorgeous and it would make a wonderful table rustic all in shades of light colours and dark ! I am very appreciative++ : bravo Labrume, thank you for the gift and nice week.

Careless ! Standing in a field in a thunderstorm is strongly discouraged. Forgiven for the excellence of the snapshot, country where the farmers remain insensitive to the charm of the moment to save their harvest. for available colours and contrast. Beautiful tiered effect.

You're right Ghyslain, but I haven't taken the big risks, the storm roared, but was still far enough away. Thank you for your comment.

Lines, patterns and colors bright and pleasant, a good shot for the contest of the month, bravo. (TB) May be a bit less sky or a change of format.

I understand that the sky may be offensive, but I did absolutely not affected. Or darkened or contrasting... the sky at the end of the world
