Under the bridge

Author 'Gélinotte' (Id 224889 ) : Here I am under the gateway of the pier of the green lighthouse at the end of the chenal du port des Sable d'olonne. I loved this row of arches and a solid swim in the sea water half the time. ... I put them in N&B to bring out the design.

It makes me a funny print of your photo. The graphic effects give me dizziness.

I hope that you were not alone, there must be of the rangers there. Seriously beautiful B&w picture of this stone bridge.

Guylaine, there are no rangers at this location, they do not have the time to settle down there as the tide rises steadily up to the mid-height of the pillars Thank you for 'your time' under the footbridge

Very beautiful photo of these arches with a beautiful perspective, beautiful light and a black and white fits it so well. Bravo.

Thank you Jean Luc for your comment that always makes me, so happy ; I looked for a framing that shows a better perspective, but I also had a piece of heaven by very pretty

Not that easy black-and-white, and there I find your work to be very successful.

Thank you Gontrand for your com rt mt favorites ; I'm not a big fan of N&B, but there... I thought it was the graphic value.

Beautiful row of this architecture clear and well framed... I like a lot the composition of your photo and you did well to choose black and white, it emphasizes the arches and the light that heats the west side of the piers of the bridge !

Superb shot with a framing well-thought-out, and a beautiful interplay of light and shadow. Everything is perfect. A big congratulations Monique.

Thank you Nicole for your comment and for your bet in favorites. I am amused to get this shot at low tide, I really wanted to play on the 'lines' rather on the 'curves'
> Golondrina >Reply Mar 19, 2016
Quite superb, congratulations for the framing

I love this row of arches on a slight curve. The graphical effect is amplified by the black-and-white

Thank you Cathy for these beautiful compliments, I enjoyed it, to get this shot, I wanted this series takes us to the far away as possible from...
> Rene2 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Mar 18, 2016
Beautiful look very graphic, 'long live the perspective... The contrast in black-and-white is top.
The absence of sky will have done another photo the more supernatural (not link with a marker on the earth).

Thank you, René, for your comment that really touches me, I note that over the months, the years... my 'look' has evolved and allows me to make photos that I would not have specifically done before. I thank FEI and its members for having me open 'the eyes'

The choice of the N§B for this kind of photo is a very good idea.
Good framing.
> Jofu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 17, 2016
Nothing to say, for me, this is excellent : the framing, the B&B which is actually well out the graphics, the play of shadows and light, the choice of the framework (I would not have dared to but you have had reason to make this choice) . Attention Monique, you tutoies the peaks and you're down finish .

Thank you Joel for your 'encouragement' ; I have made several attempts to frame : in grey, in more or less large etc,... to finally opt for the black because I felt that it was out of the picture a 'chouia' of any kind. Thank you so much for your putting in your favorites
> WebMaster FEI [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Mar 17, 2016
An alternation of black and white to increase the optical effect that gives relief to your photo yet still in 2D.
I like a lot this kind of photo architectural. A little less a fan of the small piece of sky visible too bright for my taste. If you had fallen from 50 cm during the shooting, you have to be able to avoid, no ?
Can you take it again or maybe do you have another shot without the sky ?

Ah Ah Ah ! You see it all ! but I like it ! I tried to avoid this piece of heaven bleak ; but, in me shifting a little on my right for the 'squizzer' I couldn't see the row of arches as a whole, because it is a little in the arc of a circle ; then, I tried to slightly darken this part of the sky but it was not pretty... or rather let's say that I have not succeeded In all cases I thank you very much for your comment very informative ! Thank You Web !

looking carefully At the image, the arches in the background appear to reflect the landscape.
Good treatment that makes well with the subject.

Thank you Charly for your passage, good point that I discovered now, in fact the stones are lighter ver the top and give the impression of reflection.
We can see the line of normal high tides.
Thank you again for your com. Very encouraging
