Very nice picture. I had a question, do you know how this construction has been paid? Please respond.

The monument erected on a proposal from the architect Gaston Castel was done by public subscription. Work began in 1922 and this monument was inaugurated in 1927 by the President of Gaston Doumergue. I hope that answers your question. Thank you for appreciating: 1:

We can see the monument but it is surely a photograph taken by an amateur!

Very nice picture: the angle, the view, the time ... All conditions were met to achieve this magnificent photo.

The picture is successful : the blue sky, the sea just choppy, it looks like. The monument is imposing and we must never forget the horror of the word war.

In any case, given the color of the sky and the sea, there is no doubt, it's Marseille !!! I like this photo because you pay tribute to a part of the story that too much of the world seems to have forgotten.

I think that the monument is in whole, but the photo gives the impression that it is missing the top.
> Marcel >Reply Sep 18, 2007
The set lacks a bit of contrast and it would be good to put the sea level. The woman at the center is not quite centered under the arch of the monument.
