Tanning and fellmongery in the middle ages is the art to accommodate the skins with their hair to make the fur trade... The geographical situation of the street located from East to West (' eased, according to the story, by the dauphin John II in the century XIV eme) in the lower city, could this work relatively easily with asset supplementary to the Vaud side a river. (It took so much water to clean skins.) This artisanal and commercial activity, in the heart of the fortresses, served the city of Cremieu which had interesting and commercait, growth, with the Italy, the Switzerland, the Savoie...
