A l'occasion des travaux de rénovation de l'église protestante de Westhoffen, j'ai pu monter sur le clocher et cliquer cette belle gargouille. Malheureusement elle était bardée de fils électriques pour éloigner les pigeons. Les puristes excuseront la retouche ou se feront un plaisir de l'améliorer merci d'avance.

église saint Vincent de Nay, Pyrénées Atlantiques
Récemment rénovée, elle a été fondée en partie au XIIème siècle.
Au XIV ème siècle, elle est agrandie dans un style gothique languedocien.
Rajout à la même époque d'un clocher carré de 33 mètres de haut, devenant octogonal dans sa partie supérieure.
Transept vault church of Saint Vincent Nay, Pyrenees Atlantiques Recently renovated, it was founded in part to twelfth century. In fourteenth century, it is expanded in a Gothic style Languedoc. Finished at the same time a square bell tower 33 meters high, octagonal in becoming its top.

La tour de l'église abbatiale de Cambron(Belgique) est la seule partie qui ait résisté aux bouleversements du temps. Avec ses 54 m de hauteur, elle reflète l'opulence des lieux à l'époque de sa construction, fin XVIIIe siècle, peu avant le départ des derniers moines.

Saint Sébastien preche, il n'est pas encore transpercé par les flèches, il lui reste des forces et même une auréole divine avec l'utilisation du contre-jour.
La statue penche, le socle aussi, tout penche...
J'aime cette photo parce qu'on peut y voir ce que l'on veut, Saint Sébastien ou la légende noire de l'église avec le clocher qui se détache et la croix comme un symbole d'obscurantisme.
Perso je préfère voir Saint Sébastien

Une autre vue de l'abbaye de Brantôme avec le pont au premier plan ; le clocher édifié au 11e siècle est isolé de l'église et construit sur un rocher abrupt de 12 m de hauteur sous lequel s'ouvrent de vastes cavernes. Il se compose de quatre étages légèrement en retrait les uns par rapport aux autres, coiffés d'une pyramide de pierre.

L'église Notre Dame des Anges de Collioure vue depuis le château Royal (photo prise peu de temps avant un orage). Le clocher construit bien avant l'église servait de fanal pour le port de Collioure.

40 mètres de pierres, pour que s'adosse la seule église gothique du Béarn  qui cache un trésor.
On gravit l'escalier du clocher pour y accéder, à ce trésor doré... voir une autre photo...

Bruxelles - Porte de Hal - Côté et arrière, visible depuis St Gilles.
-- Construite en 1381, elle est le dernier vestige de la seconde enceinte médiévale de la ville de Bruxelles. L'enceinte, qui comportait 7 tours, fut détruite entre 1818 et 1840 pour la construction des boulevards de la petite ceinture. (Il s'en est fallu de peu que ce bâtiment subisse le même sort)
-- Contrairement à la façade visible depuis Bruxelles-ville (voir photo précédente), du côté de St Gilles, la tour a gardé un aspect plus proche de l'original.
-- Et pour notre plus grand plaisir esthétique, la Porte de Hal vient d'être complètement nettoyée, tout comme de nombreux monuments et églises de Bruxelles. (D'autres sont encore en travaux).
Brussels - Porte de Hal - side and rear, visible from St. Gilles. -- Built in 1381, it is the last vestige of the second chamber of the medieval city of Brussels. The compound, which included 7 towers, was destroyed between 1818 and 1840 for the construction of boulevards of the small belt. (This has taken a little that this building suffers the same fate) - Contrary to the facade visible from Brussels-city (see photo above), on the side of St Gilles, the tower has kept a closer to the 'original. -- And to our greatest aesthetic pleasure, the Porte de Hal has been completely cleaned, like many monuments and churches of Brussels. (Others are still in the works).

Waterloo (B) Eglise St Joseph et l'ancien "Presbytère" (le bâtiment blanc à droite). La Chapelle Royale (le devant) construite en forme de dôme date de 1690. Elle fut restaurée en 1844 et en 1968. En 1824 on lui ajouta un nouvel édifice à l'arrière et on construisit le Presbytère (actuellement Maison du Tourisme, où je me suis rendue pour avoir les renseignements exacts). Plus tard encore on ajouta un choeur et une tour, et en 1899 la tour fut coiffée d'une flèche.
Voici donc ma 1ère photo avec mon nouvel appareil Kodak EasyShare ZD710 que je ne maîtrise pas encore. J'ai profité d'un rayon de soleil ce matin pour aller dans le centre de Waterloo faire quelques photos en essayant tous les boutons pour être sûre qu'il y en aurait une de bonne.
Waterloo (B) St Joseph Church and former "Presbytery" (the white building on the right). La Chapelle Royale (the front) built a dome-shaped date of 1690. It was restored in 1844 and 1968. In 1824 he added a new building at the rear and built on the Presbytery (currently Maison du Tourisme, where I went to get the correct information). Later we added a choir and a tower, and in 1899 the tower was topped with an arrow. Here is my 1st photo with my new Kodak EasyShare ZD710 that I do not know yet. I took advantage of a ray of sunshine this morning to go in downtown Waterloo make a few photos in all the buttons trying to make sure there would be good.
