La présence d'Alfred et de Gertrude parmi la colonie de cygnes ne m'a pas étonné, l'eau tiède, le soleil, les bonnes herbes en abondance et l'environnement exceptionnel ne pouvaient que les inciter à quitter la Bourgogne et son brouillard perpétuel pour rejoindre la douceur du bassin  . Je ne pense pas que le retour soit prévu de si tôt...  Le fond de commerce vient de s'envoler  . Je me suis quand même mouillé les pieds pour la prise de vue  .

En Carinthie toujours ça claquait très fort, nous étions abrité dans cette vielle grange, et entre 2 trombes d'eau je suis sorti faire le cliché, les rares lumières passant par les trouées étaient superbes, les feuilles des arbres et les herbes pleines d'eau brillaient à contre jour, bref une ambiance pas calme du tout.

Le palmier n'a pas de tronc mais un « stipe », une tige remplie de moelle, et n'a pas non plus de branches mais des palmes, qui selon les espèces peuvent avoir la forme d'un éventail (feuilles palmées), d'une plume (feuilles pennées) ou d'une structure intermédiaire entre ces 2 formes (feuilles costapalmées). Son inflorescence caractéristique est le spadice.
Plante, à la fois primitive et très évoluée, il peut s'adapter à des conditions climatiques très diversifiées. Sensibles au gel, les palmiers ne dépassent pas la latitude de 50° nord ou sud, et préfèrent les nombreuses contrées tropicales.
Toutes les civilisations de la Méditerranée les ont vénérés. Ils symbolisent l'arbre de vie, la fécondité et le succès.
D'un point de vue botanique, les palmiers ne sont pas des arbres mais des "herbes géantes". Cela n'empêche pas les Ceroxylon des Andes de posséder les plus hauts stipes du monde (40 à 60 m !) Quant au cocotier du Chili, il présente un stipe de plus d'1 m de diamètre !
