Les jardins du château d'Azay le Rideau. Le château fut construit sur une île au milieu de l'Indre. Ces jardins se trouvent sur arrière du château. Gilles Berthelot débute les modifications de l'édifice en manifestant son engouement pour la Renaissance italienne. Il fait construire deux autres logis avec quatre tours qui donnent à l'ancienne forteresse sa forme en "L". Cet édifice inaugure ainsi l'ère des demeures de plaisance qui allient le charme du château à la française à la majesté des palais italiens. Le plan architectural évolue ainsi autour d'une vaste cour lumineuse. L'eau, qui isole l'édifice, prend alors une place prépondérante dans l'harmonie de l'ensemble.
The gardens of the chateau of Azay le Rideau. The castle was built on an island in the middle of the Indre. These gardens are on back of the castle. Gilles Berthelot began modifications to the building expressing his enthusiasm for the Italian Renaissance. He built two other homes with four towers that give the old fortress its "L". This building was the first in the era of pleasure houses that combine the charm of the French castle in the majestic palaces of Italy. The architectural and evolves around a large courtyard light. Water, which insulates the building, then takes a prominent place in the harmony of the whole.

Ce jour là le ciel était laiteux, rajoutant à l'étrangeté des lieux. Le plan d'eau est naturel, il s'agit du lac du longet.
