Lors de ma visite de la réserve ornithologique du Zwin, dont la diversité du paysage émerveille le visiteur et lui apporte paix et satisfaction. Ce qui m'a plu dans ce cliché c'est ce partage entre herbe, graminées, arbre et les nuages qui étaient au rendez-vous.
During my visit to the bird sanctuary of the Zwin, including the amazing diversity of landscape and visitor brings peace and satisfaction. What I like about this photograph is this division between grass, grass, trees and clouds that were there.

Lors de mon excursion au Zwin, mon amie à parquer sa voiture et je vis au loin ce parking à vélos non utilisé les visiteurs ayant préférés les poser sur le tronc de cet arbre. (Je ne suis pas arrivée à corriger la surexposition entre les arbres).
During my trip to the Zwin, my friend to park his car and I live off this bike parking unused visitors who preferred the land on the trunk of the tree. (I am not able to correct overexposure between trees).

Zwin -- Réserve naturelle à la frontière belgo-hollandaise.
Les fleurs blanches sont des matricaires maritimes.
Les terres de cette région sont périodiquement inondées lors des marées de "vive-eau", lorsque le vent vient de la mer. De ce fait, la végétation que l'on y trouve est adaptée au sel. Les plantes les mieux armées se trouvent dans les régions les plus basses et donc les plus souvent inondées.
On y trouve : la salicorne, la soude maritime, la spartine anglaise, puccinelies ou atropis, l'obione faux-pourpier ou arroche pourpière, l'aster maritime, le statice des limons, ou saladelle, ou lavande maritime, le plantin maritime, la spergulaire marginée, le trocart maritime, l'armoise maritime, l'obione pédonculée, le gazon d'Olympe, le jonc de Gérard, la glaux maritime, le chiendent littoral ou agropyre littoral, la potentille des oies ou ansérine, le plantin corne de cerf, le jonc maritime, l'érythrée littorale, la matricaire maritime,
L'arroche littorale, l'arroche hastée.

Zwin -- Actuellement, réserve naturelle à la frontière belgo-hollandaise, paradis des oiseaux de mer.
Sur la photo, derrière les dunes se trouve la Mer du Nord.
Le mot "Zwin" vient d'un mot germanique désignant une lagune parallèle au rivage marin, comme ces mares retrouvées sur l'estran à marée basse, ou par extension un chenal, une crique d'origine naturelle au-delà des digues, entre celles-ci et la mer.
A l'origine, c'était la voie d'accès de Bruges à la mer.
Au cours des siècles, des digues ont été construites pour séparer les terres fertiles (les polders) de l'influence des marées.
D'autres modifications changèrent le paysage : construction d'un barrage et d'un remblai, assèchements progressifs pour gagner de la terre sur la mer, sédiments obstruant de plus en plus le le chenal, et finalement Bruges n'eut plus d'accès à la mer.
En 1872, suite à un accord belgo-hollandais, une dernière digue fut construite, ce qui donna la configuration actuelle de la région.

Statice des limons (limonium vulgare) plante mellifère appelée aussi Saladelle.
Photo prise dans la réserve naturelle du Zwin, près de Knokke, à la côte belge (Mer du Nord).
Cette plante, qui fleurit de mi-juillet à septembre, possède une particularité intéressante pour éliminer l'excès de sel de ses tissus : elle l'excrète par des cellules spécialisées situées à l'envers de ses feuilles. Les petits cristaux ainsi formés sont bien visibles lorsqu'il fait sec et goûtent effectivement le sel.
Statice of slime (limonium vulgare) plant melliferous also called Saladelle. Photo taken in the Zwin nature reserve near Knokke, the Belgian coast (North Sea). This plant, which blooms from mid-July to September, has an interesting feature to eliminate excess salt tissues: it excrete by specialized cells located in the back of its leaves. The small crystals formed are clearly visible when it is dry and actually taste the salt.

Salicorne (Salicornia europaea)appelée aussi passe-pierre.
Cette plante verte, charnue et délicieuse de surcroît, pousse dans le Zwin, dans un milieu extrêmement salé. Elle réussit à stocker suffisamment de sel dans ses tissus pour être en équilibre avec le milieu extérieur et réussir à pomper l'eau du sol qui contient de hautes teneurs en sels.
L'aspect "cactus sans épine" de la salicorne provient de la transformation de ses tiges et feuilles en réservoirs d'eau; ses feuilles offrent ainsi une surface réduire la protégeant de la dessiccation par le soleil et le vent.
NB Si vous achetez de la salicorne pour la cuire en légumes (pour accompagner du poisson p. Ex.) surtout n'ajoutez pas de sel dans l'eau de cuisson !!

Faucon crécerelle (Falco naumanni)
Photo prise dans le zoo du Zwin (Belgique), où sont regroupées les espèces d'oiseaux que l'on peut voir normalement en liberté dans cette réserve naturelle en bord de mer, à la frontière avec les Pays-Bas. Certaines espèces sont seulement de passage pendant leur migration vers le Nord ou le Sud, d'autres s'arrêtent pour la nidification, alors que certaines sont sédentaires.
Pour le décor, je n'ai pas eu le choix

Photo prise dans le petit zoo regroupant les oiseaux que l'on trouve normalement en liberté dans la réserve naturelle qu'est le Zwin, qui se trouve sur la côte belge, à la frontière avec les Pays-Bas. Certains de ces oiseaux sont sédentaires alors que d'autres s'arrêtent pour nidifier ou font une halte dans leur migration vers le Nord ou le Sud.

La réserve naturelle du Zwin est un ancien bras de la mer du Nord de la Belgique et des Pays-Bas, séparait le territoire littoral belge du continent. Au-delà des dunes que l'on voit au loin, il y a la côte actuelle. Il est traversé par la frontière belgo-néerlandaise.
The nature reserve of the Zwin is a former arm of the North Sea of Belgium and the Netherlands, dividing the territory Belgian coast of the continent. Beyond the dunes that we see in the distance, there is the coast today. It is crossed by the Belgian-Dutch border.

J'ai eu l'occasion récemment de visiter la réserve ornithologique du Zwin. J'ai réalisé une série de clichés dont celui-ci d'un Grand Duc qui n'était pas du tout effrayer de voir l'oiseau rare en train de le photographier.
